AN inquest into the death of a much-loved mother from Carlton Colville, who was swept to her death in front of her boyfriend and eight-year-old son, is set to be held later this month.
Talented musician Amie Rae Drennan was one of five people aboard a 10ft dinghy, which overturned at Wainford Sluice near Ditchingham on Saturday, August 25 2007.
The 30-year-old teacher was with her son Tor Dalley, who was eight at the time, boyfriend Kris and two other men who were all thrown into the river when the dingy capsized.
The boy and the three men all managed to get ashore but Ms Drennan was carried away.
Her inquest will be held at the Assembly House in Norwich on Tuesday, January 13.
'Luckily a wider tragedy was averted on the day by the rescuing of Amie's son Tor Dalley and three other adults, who were rescued in the same incident,' Amie's mum Carole Drennan told The Journal this week.
