THE celebration of the life of Harley Ralph Boyd, who died aged 89, took place at the Crematorium, Gorleston on Wednesday, December 3, and was conducted by Michael Imison, Humanist Celebrant.

THE celebration of the life of Harley Ralph Boyd, who died aged 89, took place at the Crematorium, Gorleston on Wednesday, December 3, and was conducted by Michael Imison, Humanist Celebrant.

Family mourners were, Glenys Boyd (wife), Elizabeth and James Campbell, Anneliese, Alexander, Antonia Campbell, Roger and Elsa Marie Wardun Arli, Joanna and David Hindes, Chloe, Ion and Lilly Hindes, Alistair Boyd and Lucia Boyd, Mr and Mrs Stafford Harris, Lindsay Harris, Penny Bazire, Fiona Charlesworth, Nicki Leaves.

Also attending were many members of the Lowestoft Lions Club who acted as pall bearers, of which he was a Charter member, and representatives of Lowestoft Sea Cadets, Lowestoft Probus Club, Unilever Pensions Association, COUP, Unilever Visitors, Birds Eye friends, NSPCC, Conservative Association, Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth Rugby Club, Royal Naval Associations. The family would like to sincerely thank the many friends that attended, which was much appreciated. Many more attended too numerous to mention.

The family would like to thank all relatives and friends for the many letters, cards and expressions of sympathy received and help during the past by One to One Agency, district nurse and Bridge Road Surgery, neighbours, Lions and Probus members and kindness shown.

Donations in lieu of flowers will be gratefully received by Rivetts (Powells), 220 St Peter's Street, Lowestoft for Lowestoft Sea Cadets and Macmillan Cancer Support.
