A popular amateur dramatics society has made a welcome return to the Marina Theatre.

After a three-year break, The Lowestoft Players have returned in style with the opening four performances of their Snow White panto production over the weekend.

A group spokesman said: "The production has already been hailed a success after fantastic reviews were posted online by the public who were lucky enough to be in the audience."

Among some of the comments received was: 'absolutely amazing,' 'we loved it, especially the Suffolk Dwarfs,' and 'wonderful, with great comedy and acting'.

The spokesman added: "Watching the pantomime it's hard to believe that the cast have day jobs or are in full time education.

"The technical and backstage crew also work, but many are taking annual leave from their regular work to support the production."

Further Snow White performances will be staged at the Marina Theatre in Lowestoft from Thursday, January 26 to Sunday, January 29.
