Drivers could face disruption as a section of road is temporarily closed with traffic diverted for "emergency" repairs.

Suffolk Highways will be carrying out "street lighting" repairs on Priory Road in Wrentham with a closure in place.

It will see a section of Priory Road closed "from B1127 to Priory Farm access" for the urgent works that are due to last about seven hours on Wednesday, March 8.

A diversion route will be in operation between 8am and 3pm on March 8 and with the closure in place "delays are likely" for the "emergency roadworks" according to the Suffolk Roadworks map.

It states: "Urgent - Street lighting repairs.

"Priory Road, Wrentham will be closed on March 8 2023 for street lighting repairs.

"The road will be closed from B1127 to Priory Farm access between 8am and 3pm.

"Please follow the diversion Priory Road, A12, B1127 and vice versa."

A diversion route of about 1.37km will be in operation as works continue throughout the temporary closure.
