Work to install the next two huge sections of a long-awaited third crossing in a coastal town looks set to continue in the coming days.
Initial installation of the North Approach Viaduct (NAV2) section started on Thursday morning, but was held up due to strong winds.
On Thursday afternoon, the next two steel sections being used in the construction of the £126.75m Gull Wing bridge - NAV2 and NAV3 - remained "moored at the Quayside" in Lowestoft.
It comes after the huge steel sections arrived via barge from the Netherlands on Wednesday morning.
The huge steel spans for the £126.75m Gull Wing bridge - which is being delivered by Suffolk County Council and built by Farrans Construction - will soon be lifted from the barge and positioned on to the pier so they can be joined together.
A Suffolk County Council spokesman said: "This will be done by bolting the splices before lining and levelling the sections into the correct position.
"Work on lifting the first section started early on Thursday morning but had to be paused because of winds."
