Drivers could face disruption as parts of three busy roads are temporarily closed for urgent pothole repairs.

Emergency works will take place tonight (Thursday, April 13) in Carlton Colville and Oulton Broad in Lowestoft.

Suffolk County Council will be carrying out the work on the A146 Beccles Road, the A1117 Bridge Road and the A1117 Cotmer Road with road closures and diversion routes in force.

According to the Suffolk Roadworks map "delays are likely" as the work is carried out between 7.30pm and 11pm on April 13.

It states that the "urgent" works will repair the potholes on the roads that measure from 40mm to 100mm.

Works will take place on the A146 Beccles Road "from Fairfield Road to Bridge Road", on the A1117 Bridge Road "from Beccles Road to the roundabout with Victoria Road" and the A1117 Cotmer Road.

A Suffolk Highways spokesman said: "A146 Beccles Road, A1117 Bridge Road and A1117 Cotmer Road, Lowestoft will be closed on April 13 between 7.30pm and 11pm, for pothole repairs.

"Please follow the diversion B1531, Colville Road, A1117, A1145 and vice versa."
