The manager of an award-winning learning disability home has been honoured for her dedication.
Having run The Laurels care home since it opened in 2008, Toni Atkinson has been hailed as "an inspiration" as she was praised for her commitment, long service and leadership.
To mark her dedication to the care home on Yarmouth Road in Lowestoft, Kingsley Healthcare honoured her "outstanding" 15 years’ service as manager.
Miss Atkinson was presented with flowers and a gift during a special lunch at Kingsley House, the company's head office in Lowestoft.
Kingsley CEO Daya Thayan said: "It is absolutely marvellous to see someone spend 15 years in one place.
"It is very rare.
"We are really proud to have you here, thank you for all the support you have given to the residents.
"You are a dearest friend and family to us."
Kingsley’s group operations director, Debbie McGovern, said: "It is a credit to you Toni that visiting The Laurels is like going into your own home.
"It is such a homely place."
Specialist services director, Chris May, said: "It is testament to Toni’s leadership skills that she has a committed, loyal staff team that has stayed with her through the years."
Director of people, Lisa Lock, said: "I must congratulate you Toni for your commitment, achievements and long service in such a demanding role.
"You are an inspiration to all our home managers."
Marketing director Stephen Pullinger added: "Whenever you visit The Laurels, it feels such a special place.
"The families of the residents speak so highly of Toni and her wonderful team."
Miss Atkinson said: "At The Laurels, we are like one big family, supporting each other through good times and bad.
"I have loved my time here and would not want to be anywhere else.
"There is a genuine family feel within Kingsley."
