A mother has been left outraged after her son choked on a “fish-shaped object” he found in his McDonald's meal.
Carla Gurney visited the McDonald's store in Kirkley Rise in Lowestoft on Wednesday, April 12, and ordered three sausage and egg McMuffins.
As they were enjoying their breakfast, Ms Gurney noticed her son Kyran, 10, was choking on a “fish-like object with scales”.
"I found the object just as Kyran started choking on it,” she said. “We eventually managed to get it out of his throat and then I took it straight to the manager as I was outraged.

"I have logged a formal complaint over the phone and emailed over pictures but have not heard back as of yet."
The store manager took the McMuffin, sending it to McDonald's to be examined.

The nature of the object has not been determined but McDonald's has suggested that "given the shape and colour" it believes it to be "carbonised or over-cooked excess egg white”.
A spokesman for McDonald's said: "Food quality is of the utmost importance to us and we place great emphasis on quality control, following rigorous standards to avoid any imperfections.
"We would like to apologise to this customer for their experience and understand they are currently in conversation with our customer services team who are organising for the item to be returned. This will enable us to carry out a full investigation."
