A coastal craft beer and cocktail bar has expanded its Japanese-inspired menu after a “brilliant response” to its food.  

The Harbour in Bridge House in Lowestoft launched its Ramen Club in January and served 150 people over the first two events

Restaurant manager Tom Reynolds and chef Ben Parnell are following their shared "personal passion" for the cuisine.

"It was all running too smoothly it was surreal,” Mr Reynolds said. "It has been a brilliant response and just what we hoped.  

“We have had a lot of return trade and people are saying how great it is that they don't have to travel far.

"We are getting people coming in to try the food who also make it at home. 

"We have started to make our kimchi now and our own gyozas which include pulled duck." 

The next Ramen Club will be held on May 2 and will feature a new menu.

Ramen mains feature togarashi braised brisket, miso glazed chicken and soy and ginger smoked tofu. 

Drinks include iced tea, ginger and lemongrass highball and Suntory whiskey sour. 

Ramen bowls cost £14 and sides range from £3 to £7.
