East Suffolk Council is publicising the plan and inviting responses, which will be forwarded to the examiners for consideration alongside the plan.

Subject to the plan successfully completing all the relevant regulatory stages, the policies and proposals contained in the plan will be used by East Suffolk Council and the Broads Authority in the determination of planning applications within the Carlton Colville neighbourhood area.

With Carlton Colville, in Lowestoft, having seen significant expansion since the late-1980s, Carlton Colville Town Council has been working to develop a Neighbourhood Plan that will shape their parish for the period to 2036.

As neighbourhood planning enables local communities to get directly involved with shaping the areas in which they live and work, comments are now sought.

The Carlton Colville Neighbourhood Plan consultation period runs from today (May 10) to 5pm on Tuesday, June 21 2023.

With all comments having to be received by then, copies of the Neighbourhood Plan and supporting documents are available online to view at www.eastsuffolk.gov.uk/neighbourhoodplanning

Physical copies are also available to view at Lowestoft Library on Clapham Road South and at East Suffolk Council customer service centre on Marina.

Representations on the plan can be made online or alternatively you can email planningpolicy@eastsuffolk.gov.uk or send representations by post to East Suffolk Council, Planning Policy and Delivery Team (Neighbourhood Plans), Riverside, 4 Canning Road, Lowestoft, Suffolk NR33 0EQ.
