The trial of a teenager who was arrested following a stabbing in Lowestoft earlier this year will take place in September. 

Before Ipswich Crown Court on Friday for a plea and trial preparation hearing via a prison video link was 18-year-old Jamie Deamer of Ethel Road, Lowestoft.

He pleaded not guilty to wounding with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm, having an article with a blade, namely a grey multi tool knife, in Minden Road, Lowestoft and affray.

Officers were called just after 7.30pm on Monday, April 10 to reports that a man had been stabbed in Minden Road, Lowestoft.

The victim, aged 24, was taken to James Paget University Hospital in nearby Gorleston for treatment and was later released.

Deamer’s trial, which is expected to last three or four days, will take place during a two week warned list commencing September 4.

Judge Emma Peters remanded Deamer in custody and there was no application for bail.
