Families, staff and children at Phoenix St. Peter Academy and St. Peter's Penguins pre-school in Kirkley, Lowestoft hailed its success as a "wonderful" sports day was enjoyed last week.

"We've really appreciated the GCSE PE students joining us from Pakefield High School and would like to thank Mr Gurney and Mr McDonald for supporting us - the students are a great addition to the team and support our younger children really well."

With the school making rapid improvements since new leadership was established two years ago, an outdoor learning provision is being introduced within the schools' curriculum from September 2023.

If anyone is able to donate old tools or equipment for outdoor learning, the school would be most appreciative!

Rotarian Paul Tabiner presented certificates and medals to the children on the day, admitting it was a "privilege" to witness the enthusiasm of the staff and pupils.

He added: "The Rotary Club Of Lowestoft East Point is keen to support the great work happening at Phoenix St. Peter Academy."
