Footage shared by Lowestoft Central Project of the arrival of the abnormal load showed traffic coming to a halt as the vehicle negotiated tight bends at slow speed with the 32m long walkway aboard.

The police convoy had left Bessemer Way on Great Yarmouth's Harfreys industrial estate at 1pm on Tuesday as it was transported via William Adams Way to the A47.

From the A47 in Lowestoft it followed the route of Millennium Way, Peto Way, Normanston Drive, Bridge Road, Victoria Road, Waveney Drive, the B1531, Horn Hill, Belvedere Road, Waveney Road, the A47, Battery Green Road and Station Square before reaching its destination.
