Investigations are continuing after a man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of possessing firearms with intent.
Armed officers and a large police presence responded to reports that a man was allegedly "running about with a loaded gun" in Lowestoft.
Traffic was temporarily stopped on the bascule bridge in Lowestoft as a police van, six police cars and the armed officers were spotted around 8pm on Friday, September 1.
As officers attended the bascule bridge/Station Square area of Lowestoft, onlookers described that a man was "running about with a loaded gun" not far from the approach to the town centre.
With a large armed response and numerous police officers called to the scene the alleged weapon was seized as a man in his 20s was arrested.
At the time, police said a 23-year-old man was arrested "on suspicion of possession of firearms with intent and possession of Class B or C drugs."
He was released on bail pending further enquiries, and after answering bail at Lowestoft police station on November 25, a police spokesman in an update said that "enquiries continue."
