Investigations are continuing after a moped was stolen, ridden around a coastal town and then dumped four miles away.

Three teenage boys "remain under investigation" in connection with the incident in Lowestoft.

Police issued an appeal for witnesses and information in June after the teenagers were seen riding a stolen moped and then dumping it in a driveway.

The bike had been stolen from an address in Harris Avenue, north Lowestoft on Saturday, June 24.

It was then ridden around the following day - on Sunday morning between 10.45am and 11.45am - and later found dumped four miles away in Laxfield Way, south Lowestoft.

It led to one 15-year-old and two 14-year-old boys being arrested before they were later released on bail pending further inquiries.

Now six months on from the arrests, a police spokesman said all three boys remain under investigation as "enquiries continue."

Anyone who has images or footage of the incident is asked to contact Suffolk police on 101 quoting crime reference number 37/36576/23.
