Plans have been revealed for the full refurbishment of a toilet block with new environmental features.
Lowestoft Town Council is proposing to upgrade the public toilets in Triangle Market which are currently "not fit for purpose" with a complete renovation.
This will include the installation of a "living roof" and new facilities such as baby changing stations, improved disabled access and automatic locking systems.
A living roof, or wall, is often used to help areas absorb and drain rainwater more easily and aid in cleaning the air.

A design statement for the proposal reads: "The current toilet provision is not fit for purpose and had not been maintained by the previous owner.
"The living roof would add to the Town Council's intention to revitalise the Triangle Market area which has already been invested in with significant improvements.
"The installation of a living roof will not only offer another element of greenery to the limited existing provision in the area but will provide biodiversity and ecological gains."
It would be open seven days a week, from 8am to 4pm in the winter and 8am to 8pm in the summer.
