Free creative workshops for young people will return this Easter.
The Blank Page Project is providing young people aged between 10 and 16 the opportunity to participate in artistic workshops.
Launched by the Department for Education’s Holiday Activity Fund, the Blank Page Project hosts activities in libraries during school breaks.
Since its start in March 2023, the project has successfully conducted 100 workshops across Suffolk, with more than 1,000 young people benefitting from it.
Starting from Tuesday, April 2 and running until Friday, April 12, these free activities will provide youngsters with multiple opportunities to join a creative workshop.
Locations for this year's events include libraries in Lowestoft, Haverhill, Bungay, Beccles, Gainsborough, Great Cornard, Chantry, Halesworth and Stowmarket.
Two new venues are also being introduced in Bury St Edmunds and Felixstowe.
A special workshop at Beccles Library targets older teenagers from 14 to 17 years.

This year, young participants will get the chance to work with new artists — singer and performing arts practitioner Evie Capon, sustainable textiles artist Clare Sams, special effects artist and pantomime production expert Toto Reche-Martinez, and actor and arts practitioner Lorna-Jane Garside.
The workshops will cover a variety of creative genres, including nature journaling, puppetry theatre, digital art, and even special effects make-up.
Katie Puls, youth activities producer at Suffolk Libraries, said: “We are so pleased to bring back The Blank Page Project this Easter.
"We’re hoping that this year’s workshops will be bigger and better than before.

"We encourage any young person to book on to a free creative activity, especially if you’ve never taken part before.
"We’re also excited to work with some brand-new artists this Easter and we’re sure everyone will enjoy getting stuck in."
