A blueprint that could see a harbour and static caravan site in a coastal town upgraded and revitalised over the next 10 years has been unveiled.
A consultation launched this week with "considerable improvement" needed to the Southwold harbour and static caravan site.
People are being encouraged to have their say on proposals to shape the future of the harbour and the Ferry Road caravan site.
The Southwold Harbour Vision 2035 Southwold Static Caravan Site Revitalisation Combined Consultation launched on Monday, April 8 and will continue until May 15.
With "two projects that are critical to the future of Southwold's community and its coastal heritage", East Suffolk Council is seeking the views of local people and stakeholders.
It comes after a recent Royal Haskoning report highlighted "a clear threat" to Southwold Harbour following "degradation".
A council spokesman said the harbour site "requires considerable improvement" and draft proposals have been unveiled "which seek to increase investment in both the harbour and the caravan site."
People can complete an online survey, fill in paper copies, or attend one of three drop-in events taking place in the town.
The static caravan site is operated through the issuing of annual licences.
It also has limited infrastructure, provides little income for the area and it can be difficult to gain access, the council said.
Increased revenue from the site would help support the harbour, but it still requires "considerable external funding to safeguard its future."
The council spokesman said: "The recent findings of the Royal Haskoning report a clear threat to Southwold Harbour, which demands immediate action.
"The degradation of the harbour infrastructure poses a significant risk to its integrity and safety.
“We must collectively rise to the occasion, ensuring that our harbour, a cornerstone of our community's identity and well-being, is secured and enhanced for current and future generations."
A drop-in event for caravan owners will be held at Southwold Sailing Club on April 26 at 1.30pm, with further drop-in sessions at Southwold Sailing Club on April 30 at 2pm and at Southwold Town Hall on May 14 at 1.30pm.
