Worthy causes have benefited from the amazing voluntary efforts of Pakefield fundraisers Zoiyar Cole and Janet Ellis.
Teaming up with friends and helpers, Mrs Cole and Mrs Ellis recently raised £398 at a Christmas-themed coffee morning.
Funds were raised for the Paul Cole Cancer Fund, which was set up in memory of Mrs Cole's son, and the duo thanked everyone who supported them as the event was held on July 28.
Brenda Lincoln recently knitted 204 hedgehogs for the Paul Cole Cancer Fund, and the monies raised from these along with donations from local businesses earlier this year, meant that Mrs Cole and Mrs Ellis presented baby Oscar Crane-Rawlinson and his parents Tessa Crane and Zac Rawlinson with £500 as he recovers at home after his cancer battle.
Since April, Mrs Cole has worked with family and friends to crochet about 3,000 poppies, which are currently being sold in aid of the Royal British Legion's annual appeal.
The poppies are on sale in 26 outlets across Lowestoft and Beccles. Over the last four years the poppies have been crocheted and sold for the annual appeal, with £8,752 raised as Mrs Cole is hopeful of reaching £12,000 this year.
