THE Air Ambulance was called to Kessingland beach on Wednesday> afternoon after a woman suffered a suspected dislocated knee.
The East of England Ambulance sent a crew by road to the scene at 3.30pm, but as it was unsuitable for off-road driving, the air ambulance was called to take the woman to the James Paget Hospital, in Gorleston.
Coastguards assisted the crew by transporting equipment and personnel to the beach using their off-road vehicles, while the Lowestoft and Southwold team were also required to help guide the air ambulance to the scene, approximately half a mile from the cliffs at Kessingland.
