TWO men have been shot with air rifle pellets after incidents were reported in Lowestoft.

Police are seeking information after the men were shot in Lowestoft High Street last month.

The first incident happened around 5am on Thursday, September 25. A 61-year-old man was getting out of his car when he felt a pain to his wrist. He looked and discovered a pellet had punctured his skin.

Another man - a 28-year-old - went to his assistance and was also struck by a pellet to the elbow, again puncturing the skin.

Although neither of the men needed hospital treatment, the pellets had both gone through clothing to cause the wounds, which were about 1cm in diameter.

Anyone with information about who fired the pellets should telephone Lowestoft CID on 01986 835300.
