The chairman welcomed everyone to the September meeting and the speaker Bob Collis. Apologies from those unable to attend were read out. Six members had been on a weekend break to St Annes and on a trip to the Lake District on the Saturday, stopped for a while in Windermere and were able to meet up with Babs and Stan Bensley, who until they moved to Windermere had been members of the wine circle.

Six members had been on a weekend break to St Annes and on a trip to the Lake District on the Saturday, stopped for a while in Windermere and were able to meet up with Babs and Stan Bensley, who until they moved to Windermere had been members of the wine circle.

Harleston Wine Guild are having a cheese and wine evening on October 20 at Needham Coronation Hall and have invited members to enter the wine competition which is for raisin wine.

The meeting was handed over to Bob Collis who gave an enjoyable talk, supported by slides, about the war years in Lowestoft. A vote of thanks was given by the chairlady and it is hoped that Bob will return again soon.
