Students from across Lowestoft have been honoured during a prestigious annual awards evening.
Lowestoft Rotary Club has held the Michael Marriott Rotary Youth Awards event, founded 15 years ago by Mr Marriott – a former club president and local headteacher.
Throughout the past decade, students from Lowestoft’s senior schools have competed in numerous award categories.
Competing in any of seven categories, 75 students performed in front of a panel of judges, made up mainly of Rotarians but with some professional help in some of the performing arts categories.
The winners were Daisy Dua East Point Academy (Music), Connor Blowers EPA (Drama), Olivia Cooper Ormiston Denes Academy (Art and Design), Alfie Langley ODA (Food Technology), Jessica Burroughs ODA (Dance), Daisy Parr ODA (Public Speaking) and Mohamed Abdelsalam Benjamin Britten (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).
