A family has praised the support of the community after appeals helped to trace a missing man.

Josh Barnes, 26, had last been seen leaving Faith nightclub in Lowestoft in the early hours of Saturday morning (December 22).

Family and friends issued appeals for help to trace Mr Barnes, of Kessingland, and on Sunday afternoon (December 23) his mother Claire Barnes said: “He is on his way home.”

In a post on Facebook, she added: “Josh is OK and will be home soon.

“I can’t tell you how grateful I am to everybody that’s offered help, shared posts or been out in the rain looking for him – massive thank you all.”
