Arrests made after trouble in Lowestoft

POLICE are seeking witnesses after six people were arrested after trouble flared in Lowestoft.

Officers were called following an incident outside the Mediterranean Kebab shop in Lowestoft High Street around 1.

POLICE are seeking witnesses after six people were arrested after trouble flared in Lowestoft.

Officers were called following an incident outside the Mediterranean Kebab shop in Lowestoft High Street around 1.50am yesterday (Sunday).

Damage was caused to a window and a vehicle and two 20-year-old men were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage. They have been bailed to return to Lowestoft police station on January 19.

Four other men - a 26-year-old, a 32-year-old, a 34-year-old and a 43-year-old - have been arrested on suspicion of wounding after another 20-year-old man suffered a cut head. They have been bailed to return to Lowestoft police station on February 26.

It is known there were several other people in the area at the time, including two or three customers in the shop. It is important that they come forward and police are asking them, and anyone else who may have seen the incident, to get in touch.
