WAVENEY artist Kevin B Thompson has an exhibition of paintings at the brand new Noverre Gallery, Assembly House, Theatre Street, Norwich, which opens today and runs until Wednesday, April 14.

Kevin is delighted to be able to show a cross section of his work in oils, watercolour and acrylic mediums at this central location, which has been the subject of many of his colourful street and bar scenes.

Though he is best known for his East Anglian landscapes with their characteristic subtle earthy colours, and for the striking water and sky textures of his marine paintings, Kevin also creates large, vibrant abstracts.

Born in Dorking , Kevin has lived most of his life in Lowestoft where he studied at the School of Art and Design from 1985 to 1987. He has painted professionally since 1988 and has many solo exhibitions to his credit.

It was while he was working on Lowestoft fish market in the seventies and early eighties, when the docks were crammed with deep sea fishing vessels, that Kevin first took painting seriously.

He has maintained his enthusiasm for marine painting and is today an active member of the well- respected East Anglian Group of Marine Artists (EAGMA).
