A 15-YEAR-OLD boy who was part of a Lowestoft gang that tied a youngster to a linen pole, sprayed him with a lighted aerosol and then burned him is to face another court appearance.

The teenager - who cannot be named for legal reasons - has been charged with breaching an anti-social behaviour order (Asbo) after he was allegedly found to be associating with someone with whom he was banned from having contact.

Now the youth, from Lowestoft, is scheduled to appear before the town's youth court next week accused of breaching his Asbo.

He was given the order after his involvement, along with a 15-year-old boy and 16-year-old boy, in an attack last year.

They burned their 13-year-old victim with cigarettes and a lighter after tying him to the linen pole in a Lowestoft garden on August 21.

The victim suffered burns to his face and arms after his clothes were sprayed with deodorant and cigarette lighters were used to spray flames at him.

Cigarettes were then stubbed out on his head.

The teenagers were sentenced at Lowestoft Magistrates' Court in February.

After pleading guilty to assault at an earlier trial, the 15-year-old - who was 14 at the time - was sentenced to an eight-month detention and training order for his involvement and was also made the subject of a two-year anti-social behaviour order.

He is due to appear at a youth court sitting in Lowestoft next Wednesday in connection with the alleged breach of his Asbo.

The 15-year-old boy and 16-year-old boy - both from Lowestoft - were given six month and eight month detention orders respectively for their parts in the attack.
