Awards success for Adnams

Adnams' chain of Cellar & Kitchen stores has scooped a pair of awards.

The stores have picked up the independent wine merchant of the year gong at Decanter magazine's retailers awards, with the magazine editor highlighting the company's staff training, environmental initiatives and tasting facilities.

The stores have picked up the independent wine merchant of the year gong at Decanter magazine's retailers awards, with the magazine editor highlighting the company's staff training, environmental initiatives and tasting facilities.

Adnams beat off competition from the likes of Fortnum & Mason, Jeroboams and Selfridges to win the prize.

Meanwhile, the stores have also been honoured in the International Wine Challenge, beating the Wine Society to collect the award for the retailer with the best environmental initiatives.

There are Cellar & Kitchen stores in Southwold, Holkham, Woodbridge, Stamford, Saffron Walden, Holt, Hadleigh and Richmond-upon-Thames.
