Bag stolen at Lowestoft doctors surgery

A QUICK-WITTED thief stole a brown leather patchwork-style handbag, containing cash, cards and personal items, from a shopping trolley in a Lowestoft doctors surgery.

A QUICK-WITTED thief stole a brown leather patchwork-style handbag, containing cash, cards and personal items, from a shopping trolley in a Lowestoft doctors surgery.

The theft happened at the surgery in Alexandra Road around 11.50am on Monday. An 88-year-old lady was waiting to have her prescription dispensed when the bag was taken from her trolley.

Police need to trace a woman described as being of chubby build, with a red face, brown/blonde hair, wearing a cream coat, which was fur/suede in style, who is thought to have headed off towards St Peters Street with the bag.
