Refuse collection teams in Waveney are battling against the snow and ice to collect rubbish across the district.

The weather conditions have made the roads and pavements very slippery and there will be some disruption to the service, but the crews are making every effort to collect today where possible.

They have so far been unable to collect in Stone Lane and Wash Lane in Holton, the private road off Victoria Road in Lowestoft, Sandy Lane in Gisleham and Boyscott Lane, Castle Lane, Castle Orchard, Keeps Rise, Outney Common, Priory Lane, Quaves lane, Rose Lane, Turn Stile Lane and Stone Alley in Bungay.

If your bin was not emptied yesterday, please leave it out for collection and we will endeavour to empty it as soon as possible. This 'catch up' process may have a knock on effect on collections later in the week, so please leave your bin out until it is emptied.
