Bins and garage set alight in Lowestoft

AROUND 25 firefighters tackled a spate of blazes in Lowestoft early on Saturday morning.

Four crews from Lowestoft and the forward control vehicle from Beccles were all called to five separate fires in the Raglan Street and Granville Road area of town.

Four crews from Lowestoft and the forward control vehicle from Beccles were all called to five separate fires in the Raglan Street and Granville Road area of town.

The crews were called to the scene just after 1am this morning to extinguish the flames, after “several wheelie bins and a garage” were targeted in the blaze.

Firefighters spent over an hour tackling the fires, with the scene being cleared by 2.11am.
