A BLAZE in Blundeston Prison's recreation room was quickly put out this morning (Monday).
Two fire crews from Lowestoft and the aerial appliance from Great Yarmouth were called out at 11.56am following reports of a 'fire in prison wing' at Blundeston Prison.
A Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said that the blaze in the ground floor recreation room was 'extinguished by prison staff,' with firefighters using thermal imaging camera as the scene was cleared at 12.14pm.
