Pupils in reception class at one Lowestoft primary school have enjoyed a series of visits from the emergency services.
Young children at Blundeston Primary School had 'a wonderful week,' according to a spokesman for the school in Church Road, as 'lots of people gave up their time to come in and see the children for their topic of People Who Help Us.'
The youngsters enjoyed visits from the fire, police and ambulance services as part of this topic. They were able to ask questions directly to each of the visitors and explore the vehicles.
Thanking the Suffolk emergency services, reception class teacher Mrs Polly Wolfson said: 'The children have learnt so much. In school they have written questions, painted pictures, made junk model vehicles and made a jail in the role play area. They have also enjoyed engaging in non fiction and fiction texts each day to gain more knowledge.'
