A SEVEN-year-old boy badly injured in a crash at Oulton, which killed his mother, was back at home this week recovering from his horrific ordeal.

Kyle Palmer was on his way to football training with his Blundeston Magpies U8 teammates at their Camps Heath training ground on November 2 in a Suzuki Vitara 4x4 that was being driven by his mum Kelly Palmer, when the vehicle was in collision with a Citroen Picasso.

Mrs Palmer, from Bradwell, tragically died at the scene of the two-car collision on the B1375 Oulton Road, near Parkhill, while Kyle was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge after suffering broken wrists, a broken collarbone and cuts to his head.

'The seven-year-old is now out of hospital and is back at home,' a police spokesman said this week.

Kyle's nine-year-old sister Jordan was also in the car when the collision happened, and after being taken to the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston she was released a couple of days after the crash.

A 19-year-old man, who was driving the Citroen Picasso that was involved in the collision, remained in hospital this week. He suffered serious leg and lower body injuries in the crash and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, where he still remained this week.
