Boys attacked and robbed in Lowestoft

ROBBERS attacked two 16-year-old boys and stole their wallets in Lowestoft.

The two teenagers were walking through the Britten Centre when something was thrown at them on Monday evening and they were shouted at by three youths, who then began to follow them as they headed south along London Road North, around 8.

The two teenagers were walking through the Britten Centre when something was thrown at them on Monday evening and they were shouted at by three youths, who then began to follow them as they headed south along London Road North, around 8.55pm.

As they got close to the former Toymaster store, the two 16-year-olds were set upon by the three youths and assaulted. They managed to get to their feet and the attackers walked off, but both 16-year-olds realised their wallets, containing a small amount of cash and cards, had been stolen.

One of the 16-year-olds suffered a bloody nose, cuts and bruising and the other pain to his hand.

Police need to trace the attackers, who are white, around 5ft 8ins - 5ft 10ins tall, of medium build, one wearing a green hooded top, another wearing a blue/grey striped hooded top and the third wearing a thigh-length dark grey coat.
