Firefighters cut off the roof of a car to free a person trapped inside after two cars crashed during rush-hour.

At around 7.45am today a Toyota Avensis and Ford Fusion collided along Bridge Road in Oulton Broad.

The road was subsequently closed while fire crews from Lowestoft North and Lowestoft South used hydraulic cutting gear to free the person trapped inside the Ford Fusion.

Once the rescue was completed both cars were removed from the road.

Police and the East of England Ambulance Service also attended the crash.

A police spokesman said: “None of the injuries are thought to be life changing.

“The road was reopened at 11.25am and we hope to get traffic moving as soon as possible.”
