Lowestoft Greatest Showman care celebrations a brilliant success

A Lowestoft care home put on the greatest show for its residents with an open day inspired by a world famous musical.
Residents and visitors enjoyed The Greatest Showman-themed party with stalls, face painting and a live performance from local band Seagull Strummers.

The Care UK team at Britten Court, on Love Road, were joined by local people for Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to strengthen the relationships between care homes and communities while dispelling myths about life in care homes.
Chloe Swarbick, home manager at Britten Court, said: "We had a fantastic time and it was brilliant to see so many of our neighbours come along for the party. Care Home Open Day is all about welcoming our local community."
This year's theme was chosen to celebrate the role of arts within care, which Care UK says is important in encouraging residents' self-expression.
