At our meeting on Friday, September 11 we had a themed competition evening which was to be: 1 Colour - Quirky and 1 Mono - On the Farm, as agreed there was no bonus point added when judging the photographs. Due to holidays, injuries and work commitments we were missing a few of our members, which reflected in the amount of entries we had for the competition, the winners were: Colour - Quirky 1 Bert Marsh, 'Festival Time' 153 points, 2 Ivan Gook 'Bicycle Made For Two' 136 points, 3 Jenny Aspland 'Tears of Sorrow' 134 points. Mono - On the Farm 1 Graham James 'Shire Horse at Work' 144 points, 2 Bert Marsh 'Keep Away' 132 points, 3 Jenny Aspland 'The Ploughing Match' 131 points. We would like to thank Bob Dawson who kindly gave a critique on the entries in both categories, followed by an amusing story of how he got his 'Bob' key ring during a visit to a beer festival in Brussels. At our next meeting on Tuesday, September 29 we will be entertained by Maureen, Paul and Adam Burwood, and Paul Farrow and Pat Kasprzok which we will all be looking forward to I am sure. The EAF Prints for All event will be at the Uplands Community Centre on November 8 and will start at 9:30am. See Maureen Burwood for ordering tickets as they are not being sold on the door, cost 10 per ticket. Our club meets on the second Friday and the last Tuesday of the month at Manor Court, Gun Lane, Lowestoft, starting at 7:30pm.
