Buildings a disgrace

FRONT page news (December 5) “End of an eyesore?” and ASDA has plans to revamp this building in the near future, truly good news.

If so many people consider this building to be such an eyesore what do they think of Network rail property the railway station, which I consider to be one of the worst eyesores?

It is a disgraceful looking building with its bricked and boarded up windows.

If so many people consider this building to be such an eyesore what do they think of Network rail property the railway station, which I consider to be one of the worst eyesores?

It is a disgraceful looking building with its bricked and boarded up windows. The stone work has never seen a pressure washer and the paint work has never seen a lick of paint since I can remember.

Why the public complain about moving this building is beyond me. It should be moved and it should be moved as far west of the town centre as possible to open up prime land for the development of the town for future generations and if we ever get a third crossing it should be as far up river as possible to avoid shipping.

Who knows we could end up with industry back in our town.
