Burglar disturbed in attempted Southwold break-in

A BURGLAR fled empty-handed after he was disturbed by householders in Southwold.

The male offender entered a residential property East Green via an insecure front door about 4.45pm last Wednesday (February 2). But the bungling burglar soon fled empty-handed after seeing the occupants inside the property.

“He quickly turned and ran off,” a police spokesman said.

The man officers are keen to trace is described as white, between 30-50 years old, around 6ft tall and with short brown hair. He was wearing blue trousers and a blue top.
