BALACLAVA-clad burglars stole a large quantity of cigarettes after breaking into Darsham Service Station.

Police were alerted after an alarm was triggered just before 9.20pm at the service station on the Main Road at Darsham last night, (Monday, April 21).

Officers attended and found a door had been smashed in order to gain entry. The thieves had then entered the shop area and stole cigarettes of various brands.

Three burglars wearing balaclavas and hooded tops were seen in the shop and they arrived and left in a vehicle.

Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area around this time, anyone who saw anything suspicious, or anyone with information about the offenders, to telephone Leiston CID on 01986 835300.
