Burglars raid two Carlton Colville homes

Detectives are linking the two thefts, which happened yesterday and today (Thursday and Friday).
Two laptop computers, a blue fabric wallet, cash, a mobile phone, a gold neck chain, a games console and a quantity of games were among the items stolen in a walk-in burglary at a house in Thistledown between 1am and 9am this morning (Friday, January 16). Police are linking this burglary to a walk-in garage burglary at a home in Long Meadow Walk, which happened between 9pm yesterday (Thursday, January 15) and 8.30am on Friday morning.
Two pedal cycles - a boy's silver and blue mountain bike and a boy's grey and black BMX bike - were stolen along with a cordless drill and frozen foodstuffs, including ice creams.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen anything unusual in these areas, anyone who may have been offered similar items or anyone with information about the thieves to telephone Lowestoft CID on 01986 835300.
