RELATIVES of a Lowestoft trawler-man called Pilgrim E Lockwood are being asked to take part in a TV documentary at the Castle Museum tomorrow (Wednesday).
Captain Lockwood made an important discovery when he dredged up a harpoon made from antler while on his trawler, Colinda.
The slim, barbed point proved the North Sea had once been a fertile hunting ground.
A Norwegian TV crew is now asking for relatives of Capt Lockwood to come forward, to tell the story of his discovery.
'It would be great to be able tell the story find from the point of view of a relative who may have grown up with this fascinating story as part of their family lore,' said Astri Thunold, of the Norwegian public broadcasting corporation NRK.
The story of the harpoon will feature in a documentary TV series about Norwegian pre-history.
Filming takes place at the Castle Museum on Market Avenue, from 9.30am.
