I THINK that the people of this town need to ask our council if a football pitch - which was put in to help local young football teams - is so damaging to the environment why has the same council approved 800 houses to be built just a few hundred metres away?

Surely this will give off far more light pollution than the lights at the football pitch.

I THINK that the people of this town need to ask our council if a football pitch - which was put in to help local young football teams - is so damaging to the environment why has the same council approved 800 houses to be built just a few hundred metres away?

Surely this will give off far more light pollution than the lights at the football pitch.

And if people wish to take a drive into Camps Heath one evening they will see for themselves that there are more lights being used by the horse owners on the opposite side of the road than there are on the football pitch.

So will they have to be removed as well?

As a parent of one of the players this is a resource the town can not afford to lose.
