A support group that provides a helping hand for those diagnosed with cancer has celebrated its three-year anniversary.
Can-cervice was founded in 2015 by friends in Lowestoft who wanted to help others overcome their fears and concerns about the disease.
The group, run by Emma Tills and Jo Pawlett, has continued to grow, supporting over 100 local people from across the Waveney and Great Yarmouth region.
They meet at James Paget University Hospital’s Louise Hamilton Centre, which is where they held a special event to mark three years of reaching out to members of the community in need of a listening ear.
In addition, Can-cervive have just received recognition from Macmillan Cancer Support in the form of a grant that will allow them to continue their activity.
For more information, call Jo Pawlett on 0790992437 or Emma Tills on 07788430669. The group’s next meeting is at the Louise Hamilton Centre on May 19 at noon.
