Firefighters tackleda car blaze in Lowestoft

Fire crews were called to Yarmouth Road after a car was engulfed by flames.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to Yarmouth Road just after 4pm yesterday following reports of a car fire.

The vehicle was well alight by the time crews arrived. Traffic was temporarily delayed, but the fire was out and the incident over within half an hour.

The road was not closed.
