A MAN in his 80s was taken to hospital after his car collided with a lamp post in south Lowestoft.
Police were called just before 4.30am this morning (Wednesday) to reports of a road traffic collision on the A12 at Kessingland - on the roundabout at the junction with Whites Lane - involving a single vehicle that had collided with a lamp post.
'It was a Toyota Corolla car and a man, believed to be in his 80s, who was taken to the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston with minor head injuries,' a police spokesman said.
