Cash stolen after burglary in Lowestoft

Police are appealing for information after a wallet containing cash was stolen from a property in Salisbury Road last night (Thursday).

At about 10.30pm, a resident at the property became aware of someone inside his home in Kirkley.

The occupant shouted at the person and they fled.

The resident then found a window had been smashed to gain entry and that his wallet had been taken.

An investigation is underway into the incident and police would like anyone with information to come forward.
