The victim, who is partially sighted, was befriended by a man in a local pub in the village. The male claimed he used to know the woman, who is aged in her 70s.

He visited her in her flat where she gave him some money to buy some cigarettes for her.

At some point during this visit it is believed he stole around £300 in coins from a whiskey bottle that she had saved in her lounge.

Anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV images should contact Lowestoft Police on 101, quoting crime reference 37/53914/17. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
