A SERIES of events to raise the awareness of what police, local agencies and volunteers are doing to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour in the Waveney area are set to be held next week.

Highlighting the 'excellent partnership work' that is taking place across Suffolk, police chiefs will join the local district councils, Neighbourhood Watch and other partnership agencies as part of the Not In My Neighbourhood Week.

The week, which is supported by the Home Office, runs from next Monday, November 2 through to Friday, November 6.

Superintendent Ian Sidney, Head of Citizen Focus said: 'Not In My Neighbourhood Week is a prime example of the partnership work that is going on across Suffolk every day to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour. By raising awareness of the week I hope that communities will recognise how problems can be solved more effectively by working together.
